An Evening of Sitar Music with Juno Recognized Sharanjeet Singh Mand
March 28, 2026
An Invitation into Sound, Silence, and Sacred Listening
Music for Peace – An Evening of Sitar marks the inaugural concert for Music for Peace, a new series dedicated to cultivating peace through the universal language of sound.
Join us for an intimate evening of Indian classical music with Sharanjeet Singh Mand, a virtuoso sitarist rooted in the Vilayakhani gharana and known for his deeply expressive gayaki ang- a singing, voice led approach to the sitar.
This concert is offered as a meditative listening experience. Through unfolding ragas, the music moves slowly from stillness into sound, inviting presence, reflection, and inner quiet. Each note becomes a bridge, between silence and expression, tradition and living experience.
Sharanjeet’s musicality is internationally recognized for its depth, sensitivity and integrity. From classical raga recitals to his historic performance at Mount Everest Base Camp, his music carries a profound connection to nature, lineage, and the inner landscape of the listener.
As the first offering of Music for Peace, this evening sets the intention of a series rooted in listening, reverence and shared human experience.
Come as you are.
Sit, listen, and let the sitar speak.
