Tyna
Tyna is deeply passionate about supporting others on their healing journey. She began her path as a Holistic Nutrition Health Therapist, Personal Trainer and Kinesiologist, Yoga and Qigong practitioner, and later expanded her practice as a trauma-informed Breathwork Facilitator and certified Buteyko Restorative Breathing Therapist.
With a background in biology, and a deep curiosity about the connection between emotions, stress, and the body, she cultivated a healthier relationship with her own body—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
One of the most profound discoveries along the way was realizing how powerful the breath can be when used consciously and correctly.
She weaves together ancient breathing techniques from yoga and qigong—practices she has studied for many years—with modern science. Her work gently highlights the deep mind-body-spirit connection.
Tyna works with people of all ages who are ready to improve their health, particularly those navigating chronic conditions such as asthma, allergies, insomnia, or anxiety, but also supporting daily life with endurance and strength.
She is here to remind others that life is meant to be lived -not just survived – and to guide them toward more peace, vitality, and connection in their daily lives.
She lived at Salt Spring Yoga Center for a year as karma yogi and considers this place to still be her spirit home.
